Meet the Owners

Bill and Nik joined forces to form Freedom Fence & Deck in 2023, each with their own set of skills and experience.

Bill is a 25 year vested journeyman carpenter and millwright. He has erected many buildings over the years in the Chicagoland area, both residential and commercial, and has a sharp mind for planning and fabrication. Bill is also a family man and spends his time away from work with his beautiful family that includes his wife and 4 daughters. He resides in the western suburbs of Chicago and enjoys cheering on the Chicago Bears.

Nik brings 10 years of experience to the table in finish carpentry and design. He excels in detail work and completing aesthetically pleasing high quality projects for his customers. His past work includes custom built in cabinetry, outdoor furniture, one off custom rooms and trim, and more. When not at work you can catch him riding his motorcycle or working on DIY projects. Nik lives in Lemont IL.

Along with being accredited with the Better Business Bureau, we carry all insurance and licensing required to work legally. The State of Illinois does not require a general contractors license, but we can assure you we are and will be licensed in every municipality we service. Its another reason you can trust you have the right crew working on your project.
